I found a passability issue where you can walk through the shops sign in Lamp Land. This is on version 1.0.2

Beat the game. It's really good. Found a bug where when you try to get onto the high dive again after beating the area, the freezes on a black screen. MAybe that door should become locked after beating Larry.

Nice! Glad you liked it!

I'll get that bug fixed up. Perhaps it is the true gift from Lampy Larry...

Hello again! I've reached chapter 3, and so far I LOVE the game! But I have a few questions; how many endings are there, and is there a new game + in this one?

Again, I love the game, you did a great job!

Neato! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it.

There are two endings in the game with some variation to each. There isn't a New Game+ feature this time, unfortunately!

Okay. I'm Stuck. I'm in the first intermission in the forest and made it to a familiar house. Explored the house a bit, found the rusty key, but I don't know what to do next? I tried the underside of the drawers but they do nothing.

The hint is to "use it at the center" so hopefully that's enough to go by! If you're stuck though, the solution is:

Use the board to go to the platform in the center of the lake and inspect the middle of it

Choosing a RPG Maker

You could probably accomplish everything listed here with any engine from VX Ace onwards. That being: RPG Maker VX Ace, MV, or MZ. RPG Maker MZ is the newest engine and is continuing to be supported by the publisher but as you've stated, you are looking to avoid particle effect animations. Still, if you can bring yourself to bite the bullet there, MZ is a good bet.

6. ability to have characters automatically level up in the times that they aren't in the party, so that when they rejoin the story/party, their level is similar to that of characters that have been grinding

You can technically do this with any RPG Maker through events. If a character leaves the party, you could store someone's EXP (party leader's?) into a variable and then compare it to their EXP when the other character rejoins and add the difference.

IT'S OUT! Venaitura is available to purchase on Steam!

And... bought! Congrats on the big release!

Hoping to give it a whirl this weekend!

Two Weeks Until RELEASE!

Exciting times ahead! Congrats on getting this bad boy out the door soon!

EXCALIBURIAN!!

Looks great! It's refreshing to see something like this done in one of the newer RM engines.

Best of luck! :)

He’s on track to releasing a hit game in a few years or so.

It's how all the greats got their start, after all.

Windows 11 [Update - Ridiculous Min Requirements]

I still have flashbacks of the early days of Windows 10 where RPG Maker's RTP packages were false-flagged as viruses, among other problems. So now my first thought with Win11 coming is "Oh god I hope legacy RPG Maker engines still work on it."

I guess we can count our blessings that these upwards-of-20 year old game engines still run on modern systems: something that not a lot of other game engines have the benefit of. I just hope we'll be okay here, too.
